I want to make a difference. As a Java Architect at Grinnell Mutual, I can. For instance, I developed the web functionality for agents to order driver information when quoting RV’s. Later, my supervisor sent out a memo showing how often it was being used. I found it rewarding to see that agents were using the pages I had built.
The working atmosphere at Grinnell Mutual is great. It’s a fast-paced environment, which I love. (I used to serve as a weapons load crew member in the Air Force.) Even though we’re focused on work, it’s still a friendly place. People are always bringing treats to share, and everyone knows each other.
When I’m not at Grinnell Mutual, I love to play with my daughters. I also like to run, fish, play tennis, and read.
