Education: AS in Business Administration, Des Moines Area Community College
As a personal lines assistant underwriter, I process changes of coverage and new policies. I also answer questions our agents have regarding processing and general underwriting questions.
Building relationships—both with my co-workers and our agents—is key to what I do. The longer I work here, the more agents and customer service representatives I get to know. Knowing a little more about each person helps me do my job better.
I like working at Grinnell Mutual because it is a friendly work environment. The small town values are evident. The people that work here are interested in you as a person. In time of need, the people at Grinnell Mutual band together to help out.
Grinnell Mutual is also a place of growth and achievement. I find a sense of accomplishment from earning professional designations through company provided education. When someone congratulates me in the hallway for completing a designation, it gives me an extra boost of confidence. People here really do care.
Outside of the office, I like spending time with my husband and our families. I’m also an avid reader and I love shopping.
