2010 Road to Success Scholarship Winners

Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company is proud to announce the 2010 Road to Success scholarship winners. Among Grinnell Mutual’s personal auto policyholders, 50 graduating seniors who applied and met the scholarship qualifications were chosen for this award. The $1,000 Road to Success scholarship is awarded to students based on their academic excellence and safe driving record. In addition, the seniors must plan to attend a college or university in the fall of 2010. Scholarships will be sent directly to the institution upon the student’s enrollment.

"I want to congratulate our Road to Success scholarship winners, 50 young men and women who have already achieved success both in high school and as drivers. We wish them continued success as they enter college, and we know that the scholarships awared to them by their agents on behalf of Grinnell Mutual will help put them closer to their educational goals," said Grinnell Mutual President and CEO Steve Crawford.

Because education is the key to success, the Road to Success scholarship program began in 2006 to honor seniors for good grades and clean driving records. Winners are chosen randomly from among the qualified applicants. Since the program began, Grinnell Mutual and its agents have provided college-bound students with $250,000 in scholarships.

Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company (gmrc.com) is the 129th largest property-casualty insurance company in the United States and the largest farm mutual reinsurer in North America. Now celebrating 100 years of business, Grinnell Mutual reinsures 295 affiliated farm mutual companies.

Each of these 50 graduating seniors will receive a $1,000 Road to Success scholarship
