2011 Road to Success Scholarship Winners
Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company, through its independent agency force, is awarding 51 Road to Success scholarships to high school seniors throughout its 11-state writing area including Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, and South Dakota. This year, Grinnell Mutual will award $51,000 in scholarships to youthful policyholders excelling in the classrooms and on the roadways. Since the program's inception six years ago, Grinnell Mutual and its agents have provided college-bound students nearly $300,000 in scholarships.
The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who demonstrate good grades in the classroom and remain traffic accident and violation free throughout high school.
Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company (grinnellmutual.com) was founded in 1909 and is based in Grinnell, Iowa. It is the 136th largest property-casualty insurance company in the United States represented by over 1,600 independent insurance agents, providing home, farm, auto and commercial insurance to local residents. Grinnell Mutual provides reinsurance for farm mutual companies and is the largest primary reinsurer of farm property in North America.
Each of these 51 graduating seniors will receive a $1,000 Road to Success scholarship.
