Grinnell Mutual Reinsures First Pennsylvania Mutuals

Officials from Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company are pleased to announce that the company has issued its first reinsurance contracts to mutual insurance companies in Pennsylvania.

In 2011, Grinnell Mutual welcomed to its membership Juniata Mutual Insurance Company of McAlisterville, Penn., Grange Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Troy, Penn., and Canonsburg Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Canonsburg, Penn.

 “We are pleased to be working with mutual insurance companies in Pennsylvania,” said Grinnell Mutual President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Crawford. “As a mutual reinsurer, we understand the needs of small farm mutual companies and we are glad to offer our new members competitive reinsurance and other support services.”

Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company, with headquarters in Grinnell, Iowa, has been in business since 1909 providing reinsurance for farm mutual insurance companies and property and casualty insurance products for homeowners, farmowners, and businessowners through nearly 1,600 independent agents in 12 Midwestern states.
