In my current role as a claims manager, I mentor new claims adjusters. It’s a role I love. After all, I’ve been there. I started at Grinnell Mutual as a claims assistant before being promoted to a claims adjuster and now claims manager. Today I’m also responsible for performance evaluations, quarterly audits, and monthly diary reviews.
Grinnell Mutual helped me advance my career by offering insurance education courses. I have earned both my Certificate in General Insurance (INS) and Associate in Claims (AIC) designation at Grinnell Mutual.
Working at Grinnell Mutual is like being in a small community. Don’t get me wrong, that’s a positive thing. People know each other. We are like a family.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy following my daughter in high school softball and volleyball, which is nearly a full-time job! I also like to camp.
