Education: Bachelor of Arts in Finance, University of Northern Iowa
As a manager of development, I find myself fulfilling a variety of roles. I have worked as an actuary analyst, billing/finance business analyst, and as the manager of agency automation. I am allowed opportunities at Grinnell Mutual to work on complex and challenging issues while recognizing that my work makes a difference.
After graduating from Grinnell Senior High School and then UNI, I would have never guessed I would return to live and work in Grinnell. It’s not what I had envisioned. Now, if I had the choice, I would do it again.
Grinnell is a great location. It is close enough to Iowa City that I can see plenty of Hawkeye football and basketball. Plus, there are a lot of opportunities here that I want my daughters to have, too. They are seven years old and two months old—yes, I can already sense there will be a lot of drama in our house—but I’m glad they’ll grow up in our small town.
