Steve Scherf, Vice President of Underwriting, Sales, and Service
Steve Scherf joined Grinnell Mutual in 1988 as a sales manager in Northern Illinois. He also worked as a commercial underwriter and as a director of commercial lines underwriting. In 2021, Scherf accepted the position of assistant vice president of commercial lines and oversaw the loss control department as well as commercial underwriting.
Scherf is a graduate of Central College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. He also holds a Certified Insurance Counselor designation.
